Interactive MA Stop Loss.
Place a moving-average stop illustration on a chosen candle and see the price area that can affect an intrabar MA crossing.
Overview
A moving-average stop with a chosen start.
Click the chart when adding this indicator to set the starting point for a moving-average stop. The point can be dragged later. You can choose a simple, exponential, relative, or weighted moving average and adjust its length. An optional profit target and stop/target alerts are also available.
This indicator draws and monitors conditions on a chart; it does not submit a real stop or target order.
Why an area?
The current candle affects the average.
A conventional moving-average line can shift as the current candle develops. To assess whether a wick could have crossed it, the script draws a price area showing the average calculated with possible high and low inputs for that candle. A wick merely touching a snapshot of a moving-average line can therefore be misleading.
Use the displayed area and the selected wick-or-close trigger when reviewing a stop hit. The chart may also mark invalid setups where the starting candle overlaps the moving-average stop.
Alerts and limits
Configure what should notify you.
Enable stop-hit and/or profit-target alerts in the script settings, then create the TradingView alert. Custom messages can include the stop price, upper and lower area, target, ticker, timeframe, and selected average settings.
The visual result depends on candle data and trigger settings. Real execution can differ because of gaps, spread, slippage, and broker order handling.
